The Corporate Hardware Associate is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Sports core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:
- Hardware Maintenance: Installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware components such as PCs, printers, and scanners.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, both in-person and remotely.
- User Support: Providing technical assistance to end-users, answering questions, and resolving problems.
- Network Connectivity: Ensuring proper network connectivity for workstations.
- Performance Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing desktop performance.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinating with third-party vendors for hardware and software support.
By performing these tasks, the Corporate Hardware Associate contributes to the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A+ Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in computer hardware support and troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of PC hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong understanding of current operating systems, networking protocols, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Optional (but preferred):
- Network+ Certification
- Experience with remote troubleshooting tools and techniques
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools
